Plumb

Okay, this has been a fucking week. Weird, I guess. Not all terrible, not all great. Monday I did get observed and it went badly. So I was in a bit of a foul mood the earlier part of the week. I actually got sleep and have been getting sleep. Eh. My new group incentive system SEEMS to be going okay, but a lot of kids have been out this week as well as they're doing pull out cram sessions for seniors who are in e-school. Tuesday all seniors were called to the auditorium in the morning and I had no class for my third period, which was nice. It seems like there was something Wednesday. I can't remember. Oh, no, I fucking remember. Wednesday night I fucking spilt soup on my laptop. Not all over, just a little on the side, but my page down key started acting funny (not responding and then going haywire with the nonstop responding). I rebooted it and it just started beeping like crazy and not starting up right. I feared water damage so I tried the bag of rice trick. We went to the store and got some rice and I put my laptop in it for a day. Also, I found weird charges on my damn debit card so it had to be cancelled with a new one being sent out. Blugh. Yesterday I was called to this meeting with a parent and some other teachers and some of the sped department (including the sped "boss" or whatever higher up from outside the school). It was kind of a weird meeting in the middle of the day and I had to take my third period to the auditorium. Then it was abruptly cancelled as we were all gathering so I picked the kids back up and of course that made for a weird sort of throw-away class. I went to the gym last night and my performance was pretty poor all around. I tried my laptop again and while it seemed to be wanting to screw around when I first started it up, it was working fine after that. Our football team is going to the state championship again this weekend so we had a big pep rally this morning. Along with one lunch, that made today a barely-in-class breeze. I just gave my quiz in each class and that was it. After work Mary Beth and I did some errands. We stopped by Target and aside from the stuff we came for, I picked up: Scribblenauts Unlimited for the Wii U and Mad Men: Season Five on dvd. We got a shower head at home depot because our main bathroom is most likely being completely redone pretty soon and the small bathroom's shower has been out of commission for years. We also went to Trolley Stop Market and had some yummy food and picked up some egg nog for later, yo. Then it was back home to replace the shower head, but I'm an idiot and of course that wasn't the problem all along because if the shower head itself was leaking then why the hell would it only leak hot water and not cold water. Of course that would have to be an issue at the faucet level (most likely washer), duh. Anyway, so I ended up doing some plumbing and taking the faucet or handle or knob or whatever the term is for the hot water off and it kept being layer after crazy layer, all these different pieces. But in the end I got the washer-like thing (stopper?) and as soon as I made contact with it the rubber just started crumbling. So I salvaged what bit I could to take to the store tomorrow to try to find a replacement. Anyway.
