Yesterday was the last day of just us teachers at work before school starts. It was another day of faculty meeting and then a little bit of getting my room ready. I needed supplies so I didn't stay terribly long (though I'd been waiting forever to get some equipment before that). Oh yeah, remember how I was thinking I was just gonna be teaching geometry? Well, I'm scheduled to teach geometry, advanced algebra/trig, and algebra 2. Three frickin' preps! And algebra 2 is eoc. I have four geometry classes and one of each of the other two. My brain's feeling a bit overwhelmed here, but I'll try to see if I can work closely with the other teachers teaching the same stuff. Anyway, after buying some stuff to decorate my room, a little later, Mary Beth and I went to the PandH to meet a few fellow coworkers. So we did that for a little while. One of them, to a somewhat freakish extent, reminds me of Matt Ziebarth. Got up this morning to go to my school to continue the getting ready process. Mary Beth and accompanied me and was super-helpful. I was planning on going with the same general arrangement the room was left in, but she had better ideas of where shit should be moved around and it looks a ton better than before. So I'm pretty stoked. Anyway, I guess that's about it for now.
