Continuing: Also in stuff I received, on Monday Mary Beth gave me a birthday present! A shirt with an Atari and Space Invaders on it. Sweet. Also, I neglected to mention last week a poster I got. It's a screen print of this quote about Sun Ra playing a Minimoog Model B (in other words, a prototype) and it has a picture of a Model B. It's really really awesome! Saturday we went over to Josh and Molly's for some hanging out and Paul and Shawna were hanging out as well. So it was a good time just hanging out. Sunday Mary Beth and I went to the gym. We also went to the gym after work on Thursday. Now, I've been getting a bit sick lately. I guess it started Thursday. My stomach's been weird. I think it's a little better, but not fully recovered today. Now, I knew I couldn't waste a chance to work out when I had one. My cardio exercising was terrible. Going too fast made my stomach bounce around so it felt like I barely moved on the eliptical. But my condition at least didn't interfere with weight lifting, which was good. I know this'll probably sound vain, but after working out these two months there are subtle but definite changes in the shape of my body. It's kinda cool. That's all. After working out Thursday I couldn't do much of anything but lay in bed so I didn't get to the work I should've done. It was the same last night. I felt better in the morning but after lunch I got to feeling weird again. I spent all evening pretty much in bed. I did finish reading The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. It was a great book. It's probably my favorite of his that I've read. They definitely follow similar lines and reading a book of his after reading others starts to feel REAL familiar, but this book was excellent nonetheless. One of my brake lights went out, uh, a week ago or so. I bought a replacement bulb by my damn Honda makes it so much harder to get to that stuff than my old Saturn did (I changed bulbs on that beast a bunch). Well, after a while of toiling with the complicated keep-people-out architecture, I got to the light casing and couldn't even find where the brake light's supposed to be. I found the when-headlights-are-on tail light, the reverse light, and the turn signal light. So irritating. I gave up for the time being. I hope I don't have to take my car to a mechanic to change a fucking lightbulb. That's ridiculous. Oh, I mentioned my Minimoog returning to me last week, but I forgot to mention one part. I had requested the aftertouch mod, but they said it already had it. I know I went on about how it could use improvement. I was sure it didn't have it 'cuz it has a serial number earlier than when they started putting 'em in. But I guess it does. At least that saved me a bit of money. Anyway, I'm probably forgetting some stuff, but this'll be good for now.
