huh?

last night Mary Beth and i went over to Ryan's and played some Settlers...there was a friend of Ryan's roommate who'd never played before and she played too...from recent experience, i've gotten paraoid that newcomers we've played with have had no fun at all 'cuz they don't know how to play yet, so i think i overcompensated in helping her out with advice 'cuz she ended up winning! well, i finally met another of our new neighbors...coming home from work and i got out of my car and they were waiting outside in their car for the landlord and the younger one who i'd never met talked to me (there seems to be generational lineage there, i'd briefly met the lady who seems to be the youngest one's mother before, along with an even older lady that seems to be HER mother...) she commented on my Sonic Youth shirt saying they're a good band or whatever then asked if my band practiced or played much or whatever (here i'm getting nervous, 'cuz we'd just recently started practicing again and in the first new practice, Brad said he heard knocking while we were playing and so we were nervous about the neighbors complaining and we waited but didn't hear anything else...) i said we practiced sometimes, then she mentioned knocking while we were practicing the other night and i'm thinking/feeling "here we go" but to my surprise she said it was 'cuz she wanted to tell us she liked it...i was shocked, and then almost right after that the landlord showed up so i went inside...did we get lucky with neighbors? i hope so...and Mary Beth spent all day rearranging and moving stuff in accordance with our planned new room assignation...now my computer and stereo are in Dustin's old room and here i am, it was all ready and set up when i got home! pretty awesome of her! it's already starting to seem way more like a house than a dorm or whatever...well...
