twelve angry men

well i'm done with being a juror...was worried i'd have to go back for another day as there was a bit of dispute in how much to award the plaintiff and then the judge had a doctor's appointment and so it'd have to end earlier...we ended up giving her a little more than i thought it was worth, not a whole lot, but around two thousand which is still a lot of money (to me anyway...) and i knew we'd reached the point where no one was going to convince the others to go lower than they were going, so staying longer was pointless...and it wasn't a whole lot, i just didn't want to take a relative few thousand for granted...anyway...the trial itself (which there wasn't any of today, just deliberation) was pretty boring...the medical expert interviewed wasn't present, so the lawyers were reading their questions and answers from the deposition up on the stand...which is even more boring than the normal boring dialogue between two people would have been...but it's done...as i said, i would've liked to have given less, but not enough to wreck my conscience or anything...

so yesterday i sprayed polyurethane on my synth case and shortly after the second coat i ate an apple...of course i washed hands before doing so, but shortly after eating i noticed my lower lip going numb...then it fucking swells up...and i'm freaking out just a little bit thinking i poisoned myself or something...i washed it for forever with fucking soap...after a while i called the poison center but they said it's nothing to worry about...i think i just had an allergic reaction (very similar to when my mouth blew up when i put the orajel or whatever it was on it last year...) anyway that sucked...but it's alright now...i actually felt the swelling start to go down a minute after calling the poison center...
