so yesterday was valentine's day...i took Mary Beth out on a little date sort of thing...a nice romantic evening of Arby's and Putt-Putt...i picked her up from work..the Arby's backfired a little (not in and of itself, a heartfelt tribute to the love shared by Elaine and Puddy) but i accidentally spilled some condiments...well, it's like a quarter to half past 9 and we're the only customers in the place, probably the only customers inside for at least two hours...so there's this new mess and gee who could that be? so i felt bad and awkward...and then some employee sees it and says "aw i have to clean this shit now" or something like that (not directed at us or anything, but still...) that took a little of the fire out of that part of the evening for me anyway, what with my guilt and nervousness etc...however, i shall move on...we played a round of putt-putt (miniature golf) and it was pretty sweet...and it wasn't very cold either so that was a nice plus...Mary Beth whooped my ass though...now i will backtrack just a bit...between my getting off work and picking Mary Beth up i went home...the cats were acting fucked up...Trudy busted out of her room with the door bungeed up and i noticed her and Horace acting fucked up...at first i didn't know what was going on...they were near the hallway vent and there was this strange noise...i thought there was an animal inside but then i realized it was coming from Horace...i'd never heard this noise from him and he was walking weirdly...i thought he was sick and i was freaking out a bit...but then i noticed Trudy was making a very similar noise herself...and they were acting super defensive against each other...Horace's hair was standing up on his back...Trudy was hissing at everything and Horace kept arching his back at her (he almost never arches his back...) well, apparently something had spooked them...never found out what it was...but i guess they eventually calmed down...anyways, today at work i finished reading Ubik by Philip K. Dick and that's about it...
