shrug

i cut Mary Beth's hair last night...fun! though it was only a little trim, but i didn't butcher it or nothin' (probably 'cuz it was only a little trim...) i forgot to mention a mildly funny story from the post office...i was getting my stuff together and there was a guy already there talking to the clerk dude...they were talking about some book "it was a bestseller" and other snippets of conversation i half heard, but the kind of talk where you can tell it's very much disgruntled, conservative/reactionary talk...stuff about the crack dealers and problems and local politics sharing Al Gore's view or something like that...etc...then the guy's leaving so the guy behind the counter's like "and that book's called Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand" (which he pronounced "Ann" ha! you think if you actually like her you could pronounce her made-up name correctly...) i half wanted to say something, but not really...correct the pronunciation and then say something like "if you wanna read her then just read the 'philiosophy' stuff...it'd be the same thing and at least you wouldn't have to put up with a BAD novel..." of course i didn't say anything...then it was my turn and the dude seemed like a big dick...but anyway...
