last night The Family Ghost continued the recording of "Taken"...we got all the basic stuff (i.e. guitar, bass, drums, and wasp) and then recorded the vocals...there's more to come but what we've got down so far is good...the vocals sound fuckin' sweet...i did some neat magic with a closet, an empty room, and two microphones...after work today i had me some packages...i'll start off with the lame news...i got Six Feet Under: the Complete Second Season, but like a jackass i didn't realize i was buying the fucking buddy hong kong release...i got it from half.com after purposely NOT buying one that was on amazon because it was the same version...i don't know why i didn't look for that at half.com...i thought i did...but i went back and sure enough the description indirectly alludes to the fact...this pisses me off though...oh well...i did get super-cool stuff to offset this...my Rogue electric sitar!!! a guitar with a special gotoh (i.e. buzz-inducing) bridge and 13 extra sympathetic strings that are sort of like a little harp stuck onto the body of the guitar...it has a total of three pickups, two for the regular strings (positioned in the fashion they would be for a normal guitar) and one for the sympathetic strings!!! it's totally bitchin'...i also got a really cheap Artisan lap steel guitar...so now The Family Ghost can have that added indian/country-western flavor...how crazy can it get, woah! i guess that's all i have to say for now...
