yesterday morning was my first trip to the county clerk's office to renew my tags...as it's under my mom's name they wouldn't let me pay for it without some current bill or something with my mom's name and address...so i woke up early for nothing...well, for the most part...then work...after which i drove out to my parents' house so i could get whatever i needed to get it taken care of today...also, it turns out that my sister has pretty much stolen my mother's car and drove it to San Francisco...alright...anyway, when i got home last night i had a few packages waiting for me: MX-80: Big Hits/Hard Attack cd and Please Kill Me by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain...it's possible that it was autographed by Legs McNeil...either that or some random person wrote "Legs McNeil" inside the cover...either way, i didn't pay a lot for it, being a hardback...if it's authentic then i guess it's sort of a neat little novelty, if not i don't really care...i've just wanted the book anyway and now i have it...woo...Jason and Amanda came over and we watched Audition...then i went to bed, slightly late...

which was a bit of an annoyance having to wake up early again to go to the county clerk's office...but i got it taken care of...though they didn't look at the papers i brought with me...though i sort of mentioned them...yesterday it was a bit crowded and i had to wait like 10 minutes...today there wasn't really anybody there...but at least now i don't have to be paranoid while driving around...and at least i realized they had expired on my own, and not needing a cop and a ticket to refresh my memory (like last year...) though i did manage to go a lot longer before actually realizing...anyway...i'm back from work and stuff...The Family Ghost should be practicing in a little bit...to which i say, awesome...yeah...

The Family Ghost just practiced...it was pretty awesome...it was the first time in a little over two weeks...it sounded a lot better than i had expected...we did "Like Clockwork," "Homage," and "Taken"..."Taken" had been our weakest, but now i think it's back on par with the other songs we've been practicing since Josh has been in the band...and i think "Like Clockwork" (after a few run-throughs) sounded better than we've played it yet...so i definately don't think it'll be too long 'til we're ready to play out again...i don't guess there's too much more in the way of specifics to discuss, i'm just pretty pleased with the way it went...now that the holiday season's over with, hopefully we won't go so long without practicing again...rock on ya'll!!! YEOW!!!
