ateolf: (Mission of Blurma)
tuesday: i did my magic trick of getting to bed at a decent hour then waking up 2-3 hrs later and having trouble getting back to sleep...i eventually did and woke up and went to court...of course it was dropped and i didn't have to pay anything...my next quest was to find the county clerk's office so i could get documentation for getting my tags renewed...i finally find the phone number for it, call it, and after a few times w/ a busy signal get through...where i am on hold w/ a repeating "we're sorry, all operators are busy..." message for 15 min...then i finally get through and find out where one of the locations is...when i get there they won't give me the paper...my mom has to get it...(even though i paid to get the fucking thing renewed...) i called my mom and luckily she just happened to be around the corner and came and got it for me...then i went up to school and got my advisor to sign some stuff and registered for next semester...my one class being graphics...golly...it's a really weird thing waking up in time to not only do something, but do several things...

after that i met up w/ Justin for some eatin' at the Sub Shop...then off to work...it was pretty slow...i only had 4 runs...i was let go just before 7pm i think...i went over to Brad's for a short while, until he passed out...then over to Justin's house where some intense kickin' it ensued...we got some pizza and created zany bits of mayhem...the school left some message on the answering machine at home concerning my not getting a degree in both majors...my mom called me asking about it...my dad overheard and was all pissed...(just now when i got home he had a talk that involved bits of yelling about it...i got to break the wonderful news of my getting a d in one class...) i went home from Justin's pretty late...good times...

i regret not having gotten into The Mekons sooner...

once again i got up and went to court...of course, all this getting up early has me quite exhausted...this time it was dropped and all but i had to pay court cost ($32, not too bad i guess...) i went to the practice space where i messed around for a bit...i hadn't touched my non-standard-tuning guitars in forever, so i made use of the chromatic tuner while re-figuring-out their tunings...i mostly had a pretty good memory...i remembered all the starting notes...and i remembered how they sounded, so i was able to discover the gaps and fill them in...i even put the Danelectro in its pre-destined tuning finally...(it's just standard tuning a half-step down...a la Lou Barlow...)

then there was work tonight...i closed...it was SO FUCKING SLOW...i made less than a hundred for the first time in forever on a closing shift (and i even managed *2* $10 tips)...blah...that's all...
