it's weird waking up when normal ppl do...when less than a week ago i was consistently still being awake at this time...last night at 8someting i lay down on my bed "i'll just kind've sit here for a minute"...of course i passed out...

also, i'm a mix tape genius...yea...

also, i'm looking forward to waking everyone else up in a few hours so that rock may commence again...

also, a very happy birthday to that Ed guy from Seattle that i've never met, yet still is quite the ballstomper...

another little note...yesterday morning i rediscovered the glory of wah pedal + fuzz pedal...my wah pedal's been in its little bag, unused for the longest time...since before i got my fuzz pedal, even...i had been wanting to re-use it, so i finally broke it out w/ the Big Muff...oooh...that's all...

neither Keith nor Brad answered their phones durring my incessant calling this morning...i can't even begin to say how annoying this shit is...it doesn't matter how fucking good we are if half the band can never wake up for practice...fuck it...i ended up going back to sleep for a little while...a 3 hr nap...David and Paul wanted me to come see LotR w/ them...but i didn't feel like going out...i don't really wanna see that movie anyway...

in better news, i just won this live Pere Ubu cd from '76 on ebay...including covers of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" and "Heroin"! as well as all their early greats...well, i don't think there's anything from The Modern Dance on there, although it's hard to tell for sure the way that box set is...not that i've bothered to look or anything...but yet...and there was a very shrewd move on my part, bidding-wise...i got outbid w/ less than two min to go, so i put in a higher bid, ($22 and some change at first, then just before i sent, i went back and changed the second 2 to a 3...and right at the last second someone bid $23...) but something kind've sucky: it originally had a buy now option for $15something...instead of doing that, i bid the min $.02 to make it go away so no one else would do that, hoping i'd win it for less...ah well...better luck next time or something...

i was gonna listen to this, just to "Uncontrollable Urge" to nail the lyrics down as i might try to do "Misty Mountain Hop" at karaoke tonight, of course substituting the Devo lyrics...although i can't find a good version of it to listen to online (the Zep song) so i'm not sure if i will tonight...not sure if i'll be able to accurately fit the changes, not that i go for accuracy at karaoke or anything, but this is more for Devo's sake...but anyway, my point being: i put this in and i can't just listen to the one song...i have to listen to it ALL! god this album RULES! anyway...i'll discontinue my stating the obvious...

well, i guess Brad's "off the hook" so to speak...someone rear-ended him last night and he had to take care of some insurance crap today...and he didn't have his phone w/ him...which is okay, i just wish he had his fucking phone so i'd've known...he said something about Keith not being able to make it anyway...i'm not sure what that's about...something he could've brought up yesterday when we "scheduled" practice...hopefully tomorrow will still work out...[fingers crossed...breath not held...i mean, if i held my breath for 13 hrs i'd DIE!]
