neither Keith nor Brad answered their phones durring my incessant calling this morning...i can't even begin to say how annoying this shit is...it doesn't matter how fucking good we are if half the band can never wake up for practice...fuck it...i ended up going back to sleep for a little while...a 3 hr nap...David and Paul wanted me to come see LotR w/ them...but i didn't feel like going out...i don't really wanna see that movie anyway...

i had a feeling that was why i never got "the call" this morning. damnit. i hope to god this band can get it together again soon. it'll be such a fucking waste if we can't...

last night/this morning when i got in from work, there was a special about tolkien on pbs, which i ended up watching because it was either that, talk shows, or infomercials. he seemed like a fairly intelligent guy. why, then, is his writing such appalingly silly garbage? i fucking hate tolkien.

i don't HATE Tolkien, but i think he's far far far from great...i guess i'm neutral on the subject...then again, it's been years since i've read the stuff...i might hate it if i read it now or something...who knows...i don't see myself too inclined to testing that...

the actual writing is inoffensive i guess, but i think his subject matter is completely repellent. i read the lord of the rings trilogy when i was in junior high on the recommendation of my aunt, who tends to be pretty cool. i hated it then, and i wont go near it now.

speaking of Zep, you wouldn't be able to get yr coworkers to recommend you a good place to listen to "Misty Mountain Hop" (i think that's the one) online? i'm considering doing it at karaoke w/ the words to "Uncontrollable Urge" and wanna hear it again first so i'll know where to sing what and not screw it up...although that'd still have its comedic merits...

no idea...still haven't talked to 'em yet...not that i've tried since it became too late to practice...i'll try again in a little bit...i might see 'em at karaoke...if so i can kick their asses...yea...
