so, as i'm sure you're wondering "how's he coming along on his project? i'm sure he's been doing fine, he got that bit of motivation and is really going after it, he's prob'ly even almost finished by now..." well, to give a quick rundown, here's all that i got done last night: i pulled out an old box w/ a bunch of tapes and dug up some very old band tapes, some from the "Literacy Council" days and listened to those...my "mirror guitar" has been acting funny on the fourth string: it'll be in tune when i'd hit it open, but when i'd push down on a fret it'd be off...only on the one string...it had confused me to no end but last night i actually fixed it...i noticed one of the springs on the tremolo (right in the area of that string) was a little off to the side, not spaced as equally as the other springs, so i pushed it in a more balanced manner and the string was acting nice and proper...i feel so techniciany...i also made side one of a mix tape, mostly for Shade, of stuff i think we [The Not Disco] should model our sound after...assuming we ever practice again...i haven't started on my project yet...wacky me...i'm not TOO worried...i've done a bit of thinking about it and i think i know what i'm going to discuss...i just need to get it worked out and typed up and ready to present...of course it's still going to be a fucking bitch...i think now i'm gonna nap a little longer and then go to the library for some researchin'...today i skipped my "second" class so i could get back to sleep earlier and have more time to work on my project...though when i got back home i just made side two of the aforementioned mix tape...i did nap after that and watched The Simpsons...to my joy my Electro-Harmonix micro-synth pedal arrived on my doorstep...i played w/ that some and it's quite ruling...i can't wait to get it w/ my other pedals...Jacques called just a little while ago and informed me that Damo Suzuki is playing here in the not-too-distant future...that should be fucking awesome...i wonder if he'll get mad if i should for "Mushroom" the entire set...eh...i guess i'll nap a little now and then get workin'...i guess i'll be pulling an all-nighter...but at least i won't have been up all-day...tomorrow will be pretty miserable though...especially since i have to door hang after my presentation (yea, i won't be too tired to walk around for a few hours...ugh...) and after THAT i have an exam in real analysis...which i won't have any time to study for at all...bah...

duuuude...

don't make a tape for shade! jesus, he'll start copping good music, then trying to act like he knows about it.

well i'll lend it to him temporarily, w/out a track listing, so he'll be able to hear the sounds of rock...otherwise he won't know the manner in which ballz must be stomped...

are the tapes of us any good?

well, i mean they're bound to be brilliant, but is any of it useable now, provided we ever practice again?

Justin era...his little alt-country venture..."i've got a silver dollar with your name stuck right on it and your name is Pearly Sue" then something about "i'll make you suck it"...him on guitar/vocals, me on the Korg, you on drums...the first (of many) take starts off w/ you saying "may this never get out"...

oh yea...and i prob'ly do have our cover of "Ceremony;" however, it was recorded on the 4-track, so we don't have any means of listening to it at proper speed.........Chris has that 4-track! all those old recordings could be playing back on that! damn...what a stroke of genius i just had...i also ran across what i am almost positive is the thing we did w/ Patrick that one time...too bad we weren't able to get that cover of "Transmission" recorded...
