Lunar New Year

It was a very active past day! Well to start, Friday night Mary Beth and I watched a couple more Marlon Riggs movies: Anthem and Color Adjustment (which were good!). Then yesterday morning we got up early for a Saturday and went out to the Agricenter for the Lunar New Year fair. We wandered around and ate some food. Had some very good pork belly buns and other things. We came back to the stage area and saw the dragon dance. Then sat and watched a series musical performances. They were having some audio difficulties and there was a lot of feedback at times. It was a nice time. I felt like a dolt 'cuz I had a drink that got knocked over and went back towards the guy behind us. I came back to clean it up with some paper towels but I hate being messy like that. Came back home and then I went to go to Jacques's birthday thing. Oh, there was a package waiting for me with a shirt from The Onion. I have the straight up "SICKOS" shirt but this has the source on it: the classic detail from the Kelly comic with the "SICKOS" guy in the window saying "Yes...ha ha ha...YES!" I picked up Graham (he lives very nearby) to give him a ride. I started over towards Flip Side where it was originally supposed to be and Graham asks if I'd seen that the location was moved. I had not! There was apparently a pinball tournament at Flip Side so Jacques had to change it to Lucchesi's Beer Garden. I think it was moved there because they have a few pinball machines, but they happened to all be out for maintenance or something for a few days. So it was just sitting and talking and stuff. Saw a lot of people there. Sat and talked for a few hours. I knew there was going to be a dinner after that but I felt compelled to eat something anyway. Then after that I took Graham with me to Sakura for a smaller group of people hanging out and eating. I was full by this point but I had one thing of sushi. Jacques helped me remember the thing that I liked that I'd always try to figure out what it was called but never could and always order something different. But it's the Ferrari. They changed it from being one big thing cut into four smaller slices into four small things cut into halves, but it's the same idea! And now the cherry is on the side. But it's still a deep fried and delicious thing. Okay, I think that's all I have for now.
