Hum of Life
Jun. 30th, 2024 09:41 amI finished reading Middle C by William H. Gass and it was really good. It's maybe my least favorite of the Gass I've read, but that's a very high bar (it's closest in form, tone and style to The Tunnel (which is his best) but it's lighter, but you know, not light-light). I did a very very little bit of work to get ready for my streaming show (god, it's next week now, that's way too soon), mostly just testing out my amp. It's probably going to be pretty noisy (I mean, line hum noise) but maybe that'll add to the charm (given it'll be droning anyway). At night Mary Beth and I walked over to the Square again, this time to have dinner at Golden India (had not been there in forever forever, like, maybe twenty years or close to it). And it was a good good time. My back had randomly started hurting in the afternoon and it's still a little sore (not so bad but really stiff). Hopefully that goes away as uh, I'd rather not be sore!
