work was very busy sunday...which would normally be cool but i had some homework to do and was getting pissed off 'cuz i couldn't get started on it...i was there for 5 hrs and made about $70...that's nice, but i really needed to do my hw...but i'm sure it wouldn't've mattered anyway...it's not like i actually did ANY of it when i got off anyway...so once again, we get hw which i didn't do put off for over the weekend and i still don't get it done...so i'm 1/3 for hw's in that class...i'm a fucking tard...i just skipped that class monday as i did the last time...i managed to get my dynamical systems hw done after walking class...i had wanted to practice last night, called Brad he said something about still being sick, he thinks he has the flu...i mentioned having time between work and practice to rest, he agreed...but later, trying to get a hold of Keith i called Chris and he said Brad was picking Keith up to go to the Saucer...so he's too sick to practice but not too sick to fucking go out and drink!? i'm getting REALLY sick of this shit...as is Jacques...all i know is that SOMEthing has to be done in the near future...i don't know what, but something's gonna change...

after class today i swung by Lastchance and sold that XTC cd and tried to sell the J Church, but that's apparently scratched...i played fine the one time i listened to it though (i looked at it though, it is scratched...damnit, how am i gonna sell it?) i picked up:

i was supposed to door hang today, but Phil called in sick so they needed us to just stay in the store and do prep work and fold menus...Dan didn't show up anyway either...this afforded me the time to perfect the ultimate menu-folding technique...i am now a menu-folding machine! my style and speed are perfect...yea, menu folding's really really boring, so when you do it really fast and you have a certain amount you have to fold, being done more quickly is nice...afterwards i went by Shangri-La trying to sell the J Church cd again to no avail...i did pick up:

The Lost Sounds album is great, the lyrics are a bit cheesy, but its still makes up for it, Abe and i talked about how cool they are, but how they need to write better lyrics (this coming from an oscar). And that Oval albums is pretty good too, makes me wish him live didn't suck so bad...

the new album's supposed to be even better...and that's funny, the Abe thing...from what lyrics i hear of "Better than Somethings" they're pretty alright...not that i hear too much...but when he sings the title and the other stuff it's kind've cool...(ripping off "Three Girl Rhumba" just a little bit prob'ly helped it...) but they do sing about satan and selling souls and demons and hell a bit much...i wish i could've stayed around and watched them play the other night...forking up $15 for the show and all...

i noticed the wire rip off when i saw them live too...
i think all the yelling they do is cool despite the fact that its all funny things they're yelling, i keep meaning to investigate the new album...

it's not quite Elastica level of Wire rip-off though...maybe not even quite "rip-off" just a very heavy hint...but rip-off or not, it's still my favorite song on that album...maybe it's because...
and yelling is a great thing...
hopefully it won't take me as long to investigate the new as it did the old one...
