Last night Mary Beth and I went out to see the University of Memphis Symphonic Band perform a concert. I could tell the guy who sat in front of us was the father of a certain flautist as he was recording the whole thing on his phone and the whole time kept it zoomed in on this one young, sullen lady (okay, maybe she wasn't sullen and sometimes she didn't look sullen, but sometimes she did) even when she wasn't playing. I dunno, it's just kind of a funny and charming thing to see. I wore a mask and it was a kind I hadn't worn in forever and I'd forgotten that that kind rides up and pushes into my eyeballs just a little bit, at least at first. Okay, I think that's about it.
