Yesterday afternoon I finished reading The Book of Laughter and Forgetting by Milan Kundera. It was alright. I mean, there were good parts and parts that I found a bit tiresome. It bills itself as a novel though the form is like a collection of short stories (it does conceptually tie them together at a point and even has a little explanation about itself being novel, which is actually one of the very good parts). Some of the stories or chapters are better than others. So anyway, just to say that it was a bit of a mixed reaction from good to meh. So that's all I've got for that one. We figured what was messed up about the api that was failing after deploying something that calls it: it was just an old/bad url that was in the prod config so updated it and got it in for a deployment for that api suite that was going out last night anyway. So I was on for that deployment (two nights in a row!) but now our thing is working. So, yay.
