Last night I finally got around to doing some editing of the Memphis Concrète recordings. The first two sets weren't captured on the board as the sound guy didn't realize the usb stick wasn't formatted. So those I just had the room recording off my handheld and they were easy 'cuz I only had that to worry about. The first set that was captured by both was Stupid Lepton. His set is very ambient with no percussive sounds that make it easy to sync up two different recordings together. So I'm struggling with it though I'm finding a few points that should be easy to line up but if I line up the beginning the end isn't matching and vice versa. So I'm confused for a while before I determine that the speeds of the two recordings (at least at the point to where I'm working on them together after first making individual modifications) are not the same and at least I'm not crazy as to why it just wouldn't line up. But then it was super frustrating and I quit to come back to it later. At least now I know the problem, not sure if I accidentally changed the speed of one of them while making earlier edits. I mean, it could be that one of them just recorded wrong, but that doesn't make much sense. Also, I'd already been working on one of the tracks from the electroacoustic performance and at least it has the two matching up. But we'll see, I'll probably have to go back to the beginning and retrace everything anyway.
