I went on the radio yesterday! Was on WYXR on the Sonosphere show and got to talk to Amy a bit about Memphis Concrète this year and play some music from it. I know Karl heard me play his song and was excited so that's cool! The first fifteen minutes or so of the show was Jenny and Evan Williams who is having a show tomorrow with the Blueshift Ensemble (which will be really awesome, his stuff is in the vein of minimalism and it's going to be incorporating electronics and there will be a double ensemble spread throughout the Crosstown Concourse atrium, and they're doing a Terry Riley piece too). I think it went pretty alright, myself being on the radio, I don't think I flubbed anything too terribly. After that Mary Beth wanted to get some Five Guys burgers so I tried ordering online and it kept giving me an error. Then I tried calling and it wouldn't go through. Didn't seem like a good sign but since it's close by I drove over there to see in person. As I pulled up I saw someone leaving the store and I think they had some food so I thought all is good. But then when I got to the door it was locked. Someone inside kinda waved for me to come in and then pointed to the other door and I tried it but it was locked too. I looked back in the window and then the other people were making gestures more of we're closed. They weren't scheduled to close for another like four hours so I don't know what was going on. Still a mystery. But instead we ordered burgers from Huey's to pick up. We ate them watching some Kids in the Hall. Then I was trying to finish stitching the Halloween III video back together with its audio. But then...the audio is faster than the video, just slightly. It was off and got more and more off as it went on (and by maybe a couple of seconds total at the end so just slightly off). I'm thinking that the original envelope from the dvd should have been good after all, but there's something messed up about the audio I got from the blu ray now. I'd think it would line back up with the blu ray video then, but I guess just something with the extracted audio. I tried a bunch of things last night but no luck. I have some more things to try so...fuck, this needs to work damnit!
