ateolfI got off work early yesterday for the holiday weekend. In the afternoon Mary Beth and I went over to Overton Park and walked around in the old forest. We were looking for paw paws but didn't have much luck. I grabbed one, but I think I was premature and it didn't seem ripe. We also saw a tortoise, he'd probably beaten us and eaten all the good ones (or the guy we saw walking out of the forest with a garbage bag full of something!). We also walked over to the pond and it's totally covered in algae right now. Then a walk in the grove across the sward and then home. At night we watched Christmas in July. Now time to bask in more of this long weekend.
