Wrap Up

I've finished up the mixing on the album and sent it over to Luís, who will be mastering it, so hopefully it'll be out soon but we'll see. Out of my hands now. And I'm glad I spent some extra time to give full listens to everything. Aside from a good number of minor level/eq adjustments I made...I discovered that on one of the pieces a full track had accidentally gotten deleted from the project! And a pretty important one too (the third track, with the jazz-ish drums, the hi-hat (the most occupied of all the drum tracks) was completely missing)! Luckily, the file was still on the computer and I was able to find it with a little digging around and put it back in the project. Phew! I got a few cds in the mail: Negativland: Escape from Noise, V./Ultra Milkmaids: Drone+Unease, and v/a: Interactions: a Guide to Swiss Underground Experimental Music. Later at night Mary Beth and I spent a dreary evening watching Seinfeld and eating chocolate cake.
