So I'd been gradually getting annoyed as facebook sponsored posts had been creeping back into my feed on my desktop browser. I have a blocker for that but some ads have changed up their format and made it more complicated (I think it had something to do with separating the word "sponsored" into separate, nested divs of each individual letter). Anyway, I finally had tracked down a new and updated greasemonkey script for it. But after installing it, I'd come to realize it wasn't working. So I poked around in it and messed with the loggers and added more and figured out what was going on. In the crucial function that hides the ads, it was using a deprecated function on a string, "contains" instead of "includes" (and possibly some browsers still allow the deprecated "contains" and mine doesn't, I guess). Anyway, I replaced it and then it started working! I left a comment on the script about that. Anyway, feeling hugely minorly accomplished. What else in the day of yesterday? Mary Beth and I went for a walk around the neighborhood. In the evening, I re-instigated my quest to find some good sodas again. Went to a Kroger farther out. I didn't find the main ones I was looking for (Pepsi with real sugar or Pepsi Mango...or an even rarer and completely unexpected Mexicoke or some other such similar bounty), but I found something I wasn't expecting and didn't know about because it's new: Pepsi has a new line of "Soda Shop" sodas with real sugar: wild cherry and cream soda. I got the remaining packs they had left of the cherry and one cream soda. I know I sound like some horrible addict here. I actually have cut back on my weekday consumption (back to probably pre-covid levels, I kinda just let it slide during the pandemic and well...then it just isn't ending so it was time to revisit that laxness). Then later in the evening I recorded the next piece in my Virginia Woolf tape: The Waves, and that was much fun. Later at night we watched some Parks and Recreation and also dipped back into old episodes of Community. Yep, anyway.

Unsolicited advice is always fun! Winchester is where I tend to go for the case of Mexicoke, but it's such a far drive that I don't make it all that often. I mostly get by with the Pepsi stuff they have at regular grocery stores, but they haven't been having it lately. I'm guessing maybe related to all the weird supply chain issues? I dunno.
