I got a couple cds in the mail yesterday: Charles Hayward: Survive the Gesture and Wolf Eyes & Black Dice: s/t. Mary Beth and I went out around the corner (on the other side of the big trees) to see the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. It was cool. I could kinda see it with my own eyes (I should have thought to grab those glasses that I never wear), and sometimes I could see it a little when I took a zoomed in picture on my phone. I got a little big package delivered later as well. So my work had this thing of gifts for employees where you can pick one thing from this catalog-type website with a group of things. Well, a computer monitor was one of them so I got that. I've never bothered to have one with my personal laptop so this is nice. It also gave me the change to finally get rid of that old crt that had been sitting on this desk doing nothing but gathering dust for years now. Anyway, I'm computing with two monitors (not counting when I'm working when I compute with three monitors). I did get around to studying last night. Then at the end I broke down and bought a set of practice questions. They're a very recent dump from the actual exam so hopefully they'll be helpful. I haven't started taking those practice tests yet, but I'll be getting around to that today. I had a bit of insomnia last night. I think it was primarily due to a sore/stiff neck and not being able to be comfortable enough at all to fall asleep, at least for a while. I think it had been more sore the day before, but the stiffness just kept me from being able to settle my head or whatever. Anyway, now back for some more awakenness.
