Had a pretty low key day off yesterday. Mary Beth and I drove to the park to walk around. Hadn't been in the park in forever. We walked the forest path and even went in the trails for just a little bit. Mary Beth's parents had sent us this smoked salmon for our anniversary and we had some for lunch. So it's not lox as I'd picture when I think "smoked salmon" but more like just straight up salmon fillets with the consistency and texture of fresh cooked salmon, but just smoked like smoke meat. And probably partly because of the smokiness it tasted like a mix between salmon and barbecue ribs. It was really good. Partly because unexpected. Now today is our anniversary! Eleven years!
