I finished reading Chess Story by Stefan Zweig yesterday and it was a good story. (I've been on a tear of some quite short books in a row of late.) Also got a package with some cds in the mail: Eliane Radigue: Biogenesis, James Brown: Funk Power 1970: a Brand New Thang, Arne Nordheim: Electric, and François Bayle: Troi Rêves D'oiseau & Mimameta. For the past month, Mary Beth's been reading Emily of New Moon by L. M. Montgomery to me. She finished last night so it'll probably be on to the next in the series. I enjoyed it, though I must say that Saucy Sal is the real show-stealer in that one. I woke up this morning to the news that Simeon Coxe has died. I'm definitely feeling lucky I got to see Silver Apples twice back in 2008.
