It was kinda of a weird day yesterday, early-on hearing about Vern Rumsey (Unwound's bass player, that Vern Rumsey) dying. It was kind of a slow-burn for me receiving the news, from not registering at first to being pretty weepy later in the day. He was only five years older than me. Definitely a sad and awful loss. In other news, I got the first part of my Barnes & Noble Criterion sale in the mail: Scorsese Shorts and Taste of Cherry. After work Mary Beth and I did our main grocery excursion. Later at night we watched Safety Last!.

Ugh. Yeah. Conan announced it on Twitter. It rang hard when I read it.

I first saw it from his post on fb. Then later in the day he had a post that was more of a tribute and that set me off sobbing.
