Got a Criterion order in the mail yesterday: Smithereens and 24 Frames. I finished reading The Voice Imitator by Thomas Bernhard. It was good, another really short one, 104 very short stories, none of which spilled over onto the next page. While I was reading on the bed, stacked with two slankets atop the sheet and blanket, Trudy immediately came and sat on me so we spent the whole post-eating part of my lunch break in an extended cuddle. (I don't know what it says that afterwards, as soon as I came back in this room to work, she came in and took a dump in the litter box in here, a token of thanks? somehow?) Mary Beth and I did more Daria-watching last night. Something I meant to share yesterday, I'd finally shaved after going the longest I ever go, a full week. As I was shaving I thought it'd be funny to leave the "moustache" for a second and take a picture of it but then it just looked sad and weird and gross. I mean, I didn't expect it to look good. Anyway, it was nice to be clean shaven again, although I enjoy not HAVING to quite keep to a shaving schedule so much.
