Luck o' the Pot

Last night Mary Beth and I just watched a bunch of She-Ra. Then today was a pretty good day at work. My team had a potluck and it was mostly a bunch of homemade Indian food and it was fantastic! The whole thing started with a mild contest between Naveen and Mackenzie where they were going to make the same veggie biryani recipe. Hemant also brought these samosas that you smoosh between hamburger buns with some chili paste and it's apparently a big street food thing. There was lots of stuff and of course it was damn delicious! I brought some desserts that Mary Beth made (key lime bars and these orange ricotta cookies, everyone was super-into both of those as well). Anyway, damn. Good lunch! And after the team ate we invited people from all over the floor to grab some and in spite of all the food there was almost none left at the end! So that alone would make a day great, but then I got some news just a little before I left. I got a promotion! I moved up a level and am now application developer level III. So woohoo and all that! Came home to cd in the mail: Zizia: Umbelliferae. It's a live recording from their tour a couple weeks after they performed here in Memphis. And they were super-duper good so I'm super-excited about it!
