I worked on music just a little bit last night. I recorded bass/snare drums on the modular for the "Flashdance" cover. I should have known better, but I initially recorded the Prophet directly into my computer using the clock in Reaper. Well, I did the drums separately and using Pam's for a clock. Surprise, surprise but the bpms on each don't match up so my drums were actually at a different tempo than the rest of it. But I was able to salvage it by stretching the files until they matches (it was just a little bit tedious). Today was the second day of brp. Again, just the half day. And that was fine. Then in the afternoon there was a post-brp "rave" at the bar across the street. I never go to those things but I decided I would this time for some reason. Then I remembered why I don't 'cuz I'm usually just sitting around very awkwardly. Eventually more people came and it was a little less awkward since I was able to talk to, uh, the people I always talk to anyway. Now I'm home and there you have it.

i love you. you're never awkward to me, and i don't think you are in settings you have enthusiasm for either. but, that's just my two cents. (also, it's ok to be awkward. the more i think about it the more i liked that part of eighth grade, that ending dinner date thing of it. it reminded me of this old AskMe question about talking about desire/fantasies with your partner as an insecure 20something woman, and someone was like "do it, and it's ok if you sound weird. it's ok if you sound awkward." yeah.)

or rather, "it doesn't matter if you sound awkward. it doesn't (!)"
