Hang-Out

Yesterday I met Chris up at Otherlands and we had the first real discussion of next year's Memphis Concrète. Still very nascent but something's going and so far seems in a positive line. After that Mary Beth and I went over to Josh and Molly's. Dustin and Courtney came over as well. There was some general hanging out and the main feature was a boardgame called Horrified. It's a co-op game and we actually beat it the first time! Well, the recommended setup for the first time played is easier than usual. For a minute a whole bunch of bad stuff happened all in a row and it looked like we were totally going to lose, but once we beat the first monster our path to victory got pretty well locked in. Then some talking and stuff. Josh and Molly had to go over to a neighbor's for a bit but the rest of us just hung out at their house for a couple hours til they got back. Dustin and I holed up in Josh's music shed and played around. We even recorded a nice little thing where I was on the Juno 60 and Dustin was on the Evolver, a nice little ambient-ish thing. After they got back we went out to eat (including all the girls: Daphne, Maria, and Lila) at Asian Palace. Hadn't been in a good while but still delicious! Back home in time to visit the upstairs cats and watch a little bit of The Simpsons. Went in to work today but more of the same and I'm home early once again. I got some nice Christmas orderings in the mail today: a whole bunch of Kilwins chocolate and a couple books from The Strand: Omensetter's Luck by William H. Gass and Ava by Carole Maso (I've got some more shipments from my order still forthcoming!). That's about it for now.
