i couldn't go on w/out stealing this...of course some choices were glaringly obvious and some were damned hard to make...i don't even have anything by the Q band...i don't think they're super great...but it's fucking Q...the same for I, well not having any of their stuff and almost being the only one i could think of...also note that i could rechange my mind w/in the course of 5 min if i think about it...so i won't...anyway:

i've tried to do that before, but all my favorites cluster in certain letters. cat power, codeine. my bloody valentine, ennio morricone. what else...i recall r and s and b all being problematic...

eh...sure there's lots of conflicts, but you've gotta keep in mind that it's just a stupid little survey and just pick one...GO-4-IT! it's not like it matters or anything...and definately don't think about it!

mm, yesterday before class started i got bored and did something a bit different--rock n' roll abcs, completed to the best of my limited knowledge...just, for each letter, as many i could think of, that weren't godawful (like, no britney spears or metallica). s'fun. a lot in b and k, for some reason.

i remember too which i have the hardest time with. h is horrible...his name is alive...helium...kristin hersh...hurl...her space holiday...half japanese...pj harvey...heavens to betsey...gahh don't make me choose. ;)

s is ickywonderful too. slowdive...spacemen 3...swirlies...silkworm...stars of the lid...songs: ohia...spinanes...sianspheric...patti smith...

but, i know you didn't have hard time choosing s. :)

certainly there are lots and lots of s's that are overshadowed favorites that i would have chosen over many of the other letters...but the ultimate choice a bit on the easy side...
