Yesterday I mostly just worked on writing and editing my story (busted out my dusty mechanical IBM keyboard). I'm well over halfway through but not finished yet. Mary Beth and I started the day with a couple episodes of Schitt's Creek. And that's about it, a lazy middle-of-holiday-weekend Sunday.

Nice. What genre is your story? I'm still struggling to do anything creative, writing being 2nd in line after working on music. But something I ponder doing, knowing I'll never make a living off it.

I have a Cherry MX Blue keyboard which gives me the satisfying click, but definitely not the same as and ol Model M. Is this one of the original or when a third party brought back the manufacturing (IIRC on the same tool/die machines) a few years ago?

I usually don't write in genres (well, assuming I usually actually write anything), but this is sci-fi as I wrote it to do a reading/performance at a sci-fi bookstore (well, sci-fi/fantasy, but fantasy is completely outside my wheelhouse). I mean, it's also within the bleak absurdism I tend to gravitate towards so it's not quite STRAIGHT sci-fi, but I definitely went for some sci-fi stuff for my first time.

My keyboard isn't original, it's a remake. And I fucked up the spacebar some so I may need to replace it sometime. :( It's really just like the old Model M and just touching it was giving me weird nostalgic waves (at least until I fucked up the spacebar...it could be worse though, it works MOST of the time I hit it...).
