Fire

I worked some more last night on patching for my set tomorrow. Feeling pretty good. Only sad that it's going to be a short set (with lots of silent thrown in to boot) as I've got so many sounds I can make! Before bed I squeezed in a little writing, not much but what I got was productive. I finally relinquished my old (new) laptop at work today so I'm fully on the mac now. They finally tried to get me a docking station for it, but it's the one for the pcs and it doesn't work with the mac. I did get a little dongle thing that lets me do an hdmi output so I'm able to extend to at least one monitor. No hdmi cables around but Sterling was nice enough to go home (he literally lives across the street from work) and loan me an extra of his until I get the dock (pretty sure he also just wanted an excuse to go home). Then later I got a fancy "magic" keyboard and mouse. So I'm pretty close to set up. There was a fire alarm right before I left for work. It was almost about time to leave anyway and we see a bunch of people leaving from the Front Door (the company that AHS is under that split off from us, not a literal front door of the building) side. We were making jokes about it but then someone was waving at us from the other side in an urgent way. Shortly thereafter the fire alarm went off on our side too. So packed my stuff up and went home. Then I check slack and there was an actual fire. People took pictures of the smoke and I saw several fire trucks coming towards us on my way home. Not sure what the extent was or what part of the building but that's pretty crazy.
