I finished reading All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren last night. It was a good book. For the most part the writing is very good. Some of the dialogue could be a little melodramatic and it felt like the characters were constantly grabbing each other's lapels and digging their fingers into each others arms on almost every page, but yes a good book. Felt a little productive today at work. Found out something kinda funny. So going into this pi, our team knew we were going to be short on resources given the deadline of stuff we're working on and all. One of the solutions was to utilize this third party company we've worked with in the past and it currently working on some deveops work and outsource some of the stories to them. Fine. They've had their time to get acquainted with the stories and all and are just getting to start work on them when we find out they don't actually have any experienced in mulesoft and they're just now going through the training (what I did for the couple of weeks before getting started in on the work). So we redistributed most of their tickets back to us, which is fine 'cuz we're actually pretty good and working a little ahead for the most part. Our team's kinda in two separate (but related) parts: integration and migration. The migration I know is behind and under a much heavier brunt of the timeline (I'm on integration). Well anyway, the point is this company's rep or someone told us that they had experienced mulesoft resources and they absolutely do not and it's just kinda funny how all that came to happen. Anyway, got home from work and Mary Beth and I went for a walk in the park and the weather was absolutely beautiful and perfect.
