Yesterday I had the fun of putting my new module in my case, haven't played it yet though so I should probably do that! I also had a revelation where I was like, how the hell had I not thought of that before!? So the issue of patch cable organization has been a thing. I'd had all my cables stuffed in one bag which has been alright, but I have to dig around if I want one of a certain size. I'd wished I had a way of having them in separate smaller bags or boxes and organized by size and type of cable (for the few specialized ones I have). Well, yesterday 'cuz my new stackable cables came in a ziplock type bag, I was like, oh I could use ziplock bags...duh! So I put them different sizes, etc in their own ziplock (freezer) bag and those are all in the bigger bag and now, yeah, solution. And that's so obvious and simple and I don't know why the hell it took me so long to come to that realization. I watched a little Mr. Robot while Mary Beth was in the kitchen. We watched a little Futurama later after our dinner. Oh, Molly stopped by briefly to drop off some lemons from her garden and we chatted a bit. It's really sad about Genie dying, we weren't very close and really hadn't seen her at all since she and Matt split up (and haven't seen much of Matt since then anyway), but I've liked Genie and it's all just sad and weird. Anyway, as you can see by the date, yesterday was New Year's Eve. I was festive by getting sugar-and-spice-drunk on hot, non-alcoholic glögg. We were flagging a bit early (we were tired anyway from getting to bed too late the night before) and staying up til midnight is not a common thing for us anyway. But we did an effective job with caffeine and, more importantly, playing games (getting those minds goin'). We played some Splendor and Rummikub and then it was midnight and now it's another year. Hopefully the world gets a little less trashy this time.
