I guess one "benefit" to having been sick is I haven't felt like doing much except lounge around and read, so I at least did get a good bit of reading done the past few days and I finished reading The Dud Avocado by Elaine Dundy last night. It was quite good. The style is pretty light and simple. It's pretty funny and there's a lot of good stuff going on with voice and character. It has a lot of nice subtle observation type things. Work today was pretty slow. I managed to stay there. And through the afternoon I've even started to feel somewhat clearer. I mean, I'm still under the cold but it doesn't feel as overbearing now maybe.
