Had a pretty busy day yesterday. Well, for one, I got a flat tire on the way home. Ended up pulling over just around the corner from the my house (not sure how long it had been flat, something had seemed funny as I was driving but it didn't fully seem like a flat til I was almost home). Anyway, we had somewhere to be and I was close enough that I could just walk home and worry about the car later. Mary Beth and I went out to Rhodes to see a lecture on drag (history and so on). It was a really good talk. After that I went to see Revenge Body play at this movie festival thing and the revived Black Lodge (I think this festival thing is the first event to be held there). I came in while this one movie was playing. It was a local movie, but I didn't see all of it so I'm not totally sure of everything going on. It seemed like it might be pretty good. It was called Joe Finds Grace. Then Revenge Body played. Then they screened H.I.D. so I got to see that again (and hear my music again). I think there were some slight edits and the end credits were different (they finally got our music credit right and The Family Ghost is mentioned instead of just Jacques, though whoever that other guy that did the one other song was is still never mentioned). Then they started to show Happiness, I've never seen it but didn't want to stay out too late so I left after a few minutes. When I got home, Mary Beth let me know she found that we'd gotten our Indie Memphis passes for helping screen: and we both got vip passes (I'm surprised I did too since I didn't watch nearly as much as she did). But it's very nice. And so I finally went and picked the movies I'm gonna see. So I'm getting damn excited about it! And it's pretty soon, next week! Then there was work today. I only worked a half day 'cuz of the switchover Tuesday night. Mary Beth and I went and grabbed lunch at this new place called Joe's Deli near the university. We split a Hawaiian muffaletta that was good. Then I went home and changed my tire and brought it in to be fixed and that's where we're at now!
