Had a little meeting for Memphis Concrète yesterday. It was just me and Chris and Jacques but I think we got a pretty good handle on where we currently stand and some planning down. I've got some stuff to do today. After that Jacques and I went over to Goner and Two Rivers, I didn't get anything but did some browsing and talking to Heather. Then I went out to Stewart Brothers to pick up some screws for my case and came back home and installed my new module! Given its nature, they do really cram those eight knobs together and it's far from the most ergonomic thing. The knobs are also a little on the wobbly side. But it's definitely pretty cheap for an 8 channel mixer, and really there almost aren't any 8 channel mixers at all (not counting the WMD Performance Mixer which is amazingly fancy and hugely expensive) so just being able to get something like this at all is pretty great (and again, I'm talking about the Levit8). Nate had brought up the fact that Bastl gave him two of the upgrade chips so he thought one might be for me. I made sure to test out my Knit Rider but I'm able to make it swing which is a feature of the firmware upgrade so it looks like they did install the chip (damn straight!). Anyway, uh yeah! Rested up pretty good this morning and that's about it for now.
