The Day

Mary Beth and I went over to my parents' yesterday for the christmas thing. We had a pretty good time hanging out with the boys. I got a present that was pretty cool: a cigar box guitar. I should figure out a tuning for it and do something with it. Anthony was especially into the present I got him: Rock Em Sock Em Robots. "Punch you in the face" became his mantra. Everyone seemed pretty good and we all seemed to have a pretty good time. My dad's opinion on the new Star Wars movie is kinda funny. It's his least favorite and his reason is a lack of any humor, while I find that, if anything, it has an excess of humor. I guess it's all of a contemporary humor style that's going past him. I mean, I don't think it's all actually funny myself, but I do at least recognize it as humor. After that we went straight over to feed and pet Jo Jo. So we got some christmas cuddles from her. Not a whole lot else the rest of the evening. We started watching The Good Place. So far there are some laughs there. Work today was alright. Almost no one there. Scrummaster, who's working remotely, even told me to go home early so I did and am home early now! Also came in to find a $10 amazon card from my manager so that's pretty lovely. Mostly kinda laid back but I tried something out in the afternoon and come to find that one of the apis we're calling (not one we did ourselves) has what will be an issue for us and I'll probably have to make a change to it. Kinda annoying, but anyway. I'm not gonna think about that right now!
