i am in the lan lab right now on a 20 min only computer 'cuz the others are full...so i'll make this a quick update...i also have a few other things to do before work anyhoo...the phone jack near my computer's still broked so i ain't been able to get online thura...and my parents' computer is totally fizocked so i ain't been hading that option neither...but it seems a few things have been goin'ing on since i last posted, in my own life and the world abroad...the world abroad issue's pretty obvious so i won't go into that here, i'll just mention little ol' me...as of a week ago today i'm like not single anymore...(re: Monika) ummm...consumerism:

the later of cds is a 2 disc set comprising of Ascension Editions I and II, Om, Kulu Se Mama, and Selflessness...each edition of Ascension is 40 min long...Om is 30 min...Kulu 20, Selfelssness 15 or so...yadayada...i just thought i'd mention its radness or something, as its title doesn't fully let in on it...or something...today's Paul's bithday...mayhaps that dude'll be raunchin' for some chillin'...or something...i can't think of anything else to say and i'm paranoid i'll soon be knocked off so i'll just leave now...

it's fucking great...it's two long instrumentals...very "hey, Mogwai, remember that new sound you've been looking for, well listen to this!" i've heard Tweez a long time ago...i remember being underwhelmed and wondering why said band was supposed to be so great...i prob'ly do need to eventually pick it up though...for my rock needs, etc...

it's more like, hey EVERY BAND that doesn't do the pet sounds thing, here's your sound right here. but uh. yeah, the main thing that bugs me about tweez is the lead guitar sound.. it's like what you'd expect a pedal called the 'digital metallizer' to do.

well, the s/t ep's a little different...it specifically sounds pretty much just like Mogwai...my friend who has Tweez complains about it sounding like Rage against the Machine w/out the rapping...which coincides a bit w/ my vague memory of it...
