sunday: after i got off work, i called everyone, informing them i was off work and we could practice for our short while...then i get aboard the shuttle bus so i can be driven to the screening area so i can get on the other bus and be taken to the parking lot...but the shuttle buses can't move...there are two sitting there but for some stupid, administrative reason they have to sit there until some "ramp" is open...as there's a storm happening...not that the storm's happening there AT FedEx...it's just near...off in the distance...so i'm sitting for 10-15 min waiting for the fucking bus to go...then everyone decides to walk over to the screening area...we walk, the same exact route the bus would've taken...then i get there, wait for the big bus, and eventually get to my car...30 min after i had called everyone...Brad was waiting, but the others hadn't arrived yet...Keith had falled back asleep...i called from my house but by the time it would've taken him to get Jacques and drive to my house, he and Brad would have to be going straight to work...so that was that...then i had to go to work at Camy's...afterwards i went over to Brad's...we were going to make fliers for the show...only Jacques and i ended up making them...we drove out to my house and got a physics book and an old self-help book on communicating w/ ppl and had at it...we tried to use my parents' scanner but it wasn't scanning it well...so we decided to save it for the next night...(okay, jesus, my sense of time is fucked up...the fliers happened saturday night...then i went and crashed at The Apartment before i went to FedEx in the morning...) OKAY: later *sunday* night Jacques and i made the copies of what we wanted at Kinkos...then i hung out w/ David a little while...

monday: organized practice for the morning...ppl not waking up properly led us to only be able to work one song before Brad had to go to his dentist appointment...but that's better than nothing...then i went out to midtown to put up fliers...Lastchance, Black Lodge, Shangri-La, and The Memphis Pizza Cafe...(Jacques and i had also put our flier up at The Map Room sunday night...) while at Lastchance i got: Neu!: s/t...then i went to work...i think i had my highest rate of ppl not tipping ever...but that's okay...durring my split i went w/ David, Paul 2, and Justin to karaoke...i did Kid Rock's "American Badass," singing in a completly emotionless drone...David said i was ready for Cleopatra...then David and i did "Whip It"...shouting my terrible, terrible, terrible Mark Mothersbaugh w/ the confidence of someone who actually knows they're doing a good job...i was signed up to do "Emotions" (Maria Carey) and "2001 Space Odyssey" (Elvis) in honor of Elvis week...i was told it was an instrumental (just the grandiose Strauss theme from the movie...why it was in a karaoke machine, and why Elvis did that, and why they called it "2001 Space Odyssey" instead of by its actual name is all beyond me...(well, the last part isn't beyond me...))but i was going to make up my own words...then i called work and had to go back in so i didn't get to do those...

today: we practiced this morning...ran through the whole set...did pretty poorly...we're going to have to get up early early thursday to run through it a few times...so as to not completely blow the fucking show...then i slept some more and mowed the back yard...

What i think is much funnier that you singing kid rock's american bad ass, is you singing korn's got the life and not even realizing the difference, not that i would if i hadn't heard both of them 800 times at karaoke...

oh...she screwed it up then...i wrote down "American Badass"...not that it matters...it's all the same..."American Badass" is just a funnier song title...i was wondering why it said it was written by Korn at the end...(as if there's a difference or anything...)

WE sounded terrible? Hmmm...I think I did fine. In fact, I think you, Jacques, and Keith are all, indeed, out of the band. I'll play a solo drum show Thursday night.

not really TERRIBLE...but not as good as we should...less good than we sounded last time we played the songs oh so many weeks ago...and the reason you sounded fine to yourself is because you wouldn't know what real playing sounded like if you accidentally found yourself doing it by some odd chance/twist of fate...and lessee: Keith + Jacques + Robert = a band...Brad = some dumbass who doesn't know what he's doing...drum solo!? ha! i can't believe how stupid you are...you're out of the band, fucker...

(still on for that manlove tomorrow night, though? ;p <- me sensually licking your puckered o-ring...)

i'd gladly exchange our "terrible" rehearsal for what transpired at the show last night. 'twas a wrist-slasher.

no, it wasn't...Keith and i watched the video last night...our show was actually quite good...the only thing that was really bad was the first two songs having an instrument out of tune...other than that it sounded quite good...there were minor mistakes here and there (all over the place) but nothing that was very noticable...even stuff that, durring the show, seemed to stand out really badly was hardly noticable...for the most part we played pretty well...and there were parts that, to me at least, sounded weird tonally on stage (not loud enough, flat sounding, etc) sounded right from an off-stage perspective...for the most part we played quite well...MUCH better than that practice the other day so shut up, dude...
