Yesterday I finished a song I had started last summer. It was actually the first thing I used my digital multitrack recorder for. It was mostly finished, and I pretty much knew what little I wanted to add to it, but it just fell by the wayside. Also funny, 'cuz I really wanted a "programmable" poly synth sound so I did some trickery to fake it with my string synth and some mildly complex patchwork with a filter to achieve the effect. In the near year that has passed, I've since gotten the Prophet so I really have a programmable poly synth, but I like the work I did with what I had a lot. Anyway, I just added the guitar and another synth part that both come between the middle and the towards the end. And in case you're curious to listen:
This morning, shortly after waking up, I finished reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley. It was a very good book. Oddly, at least in its outward form, it reminded me of In Cold Blood. The gym was this afternoon, whew.
