not much been going on...the Fuck show's tonight, i guess that'll be cool...even though i don't think i'll have anyone to go w/...but that hasn't stopped me before...i'll try seeing if Paul might wanna go soon...and just before i go i'll try smacking Jacques' stupid, whipped ass into going...and i don't suspect you wanna go? haven't even seen you in a virtually forever amount of time and stuff...oh yes, and our op sys assignment that was going to be due next tuesday was pushed back another week...very nice, (as i can have time to do that and (maybe) the other crap i haven't done...) i won't be having the new (Fuck) album before the show...so i'll be in the dark for a good bit of the stuff they play...oh well...at least getting it at the show will be cheaper...and it might even be in cool, different packaging (like their other albums were at the last show...maybe they'll have the version of Conduct that's in the big children's book again...)

and no one will know what the hell i'm talking about for this last part here so you can all ignore; but, James Bunn, if you're out there existing in some form or another, thank you for at least having previously existed in some form or another...here...

they're an indie rock band...mostly really slow and quiet, ironically enough...they're really good, i think...a bit obscure...they were on Matador but they just went over to Smells Like Records...i don't know if Matador dropped them or it was just the friendship they obtained touring/working w/ Two Dollar Guitar (SLR's main band/ppl who run it mostly too...) in a twisted way, they remind me of a slocore version of Wire...sort of...but enough rambling...they're a bit along the lines of Bedhead, Codeine, Low...but w/ mostly short songs and a subtle sense of humor...

i LOVE their cover of believe... I think even Mikey (http://barcis.livejournal.com) would appreciate it. heheheh

Bedhead's not a whole lot like the Macha Loved Bedhead thing...in an odd way, the cover of "Believe" (which is quite brilliant :)) is the song closest to Bedhead proper...they're mostly more slow...known for having 3 guitarists...and lotsa beard...Transaction de Novo is their best album...it's really amazing...i noticed you like Joy Division...they've did a really good cover of "Disorder" on their s/t ep...they're very influenced by JD...i believe they're the favorite band of the Kadane brothers...at least Matt, i think...but in the realms of "slocore" i'd prob'ly say that Bedhead's my favorite...excluding Mogwai prob'ly...

oh nononono...it's nothing like Swans cover (or any other standard sp00ky JD butchering...) it's much more along the lines of Low's cover of "Transmission" (except it's much better...) they did it much justice...and it's a great cover...especially since "Disorder" is like my 2nd favorite JD song...

and i wish Mogwai was coming somewhere remotely near here...god i would love to see them live...
