went to school this morning, i thought we were supposed to've had our spanish class at the library today (to watch a movie) but i went to the library (i was like 2 min late or something) and nobody (class-wise) was there...and i went to the rooms where we would be watching the movie in and knocked and all but nobody was there...so i went across to Dunn Hall to our room and nobody was there either...i know the teacher's supposed to be out of town or something like that, but i thought we were supposed to be meeting...maybe we weren't meeting today but are supposed to meet at the library next tuesday...or maybe we were supposed to meet today but they went somewhere else to watch it and i missed out 'cuz i was just a little bit late...but i don't know anywhere they could've gone...i asked one of the ladies working at the library on the floor and she only mentioned the rooms i knew about...oh well...so i went back home and slept some more...i'm hoping i can actually finally start doing that operating systems hw due two days ago today...but once you've procrastinated so far it's hard to actually get back to it...

culture: (or something) whilst in New York we went to two museums...the Guggenheim on friday and the Metropolitan Museum of Art on saturday...the Guggenheim was pretty rad...there was some really neat-o art in thura...i wasn't able to enjoy it as much as i should've though 'cuz of my feet...but oh well...the Metropolitan is fucking huge...it has all types of art in there...(Guggenheim's all modern art, which is okay 'cuz that's my preference anyhow...) there was a lot of stuff that didn't interest me in the Metropolitan, but as it has something of everything that's to be expected...but it had a lot of really good stuff...there was an exhibit of musical instruments and they were all categorized by geogrphic/national regions...that was extremely cool...that was one of my more favorite parts...their modern art section was also really good...and there was various stuff here and there that i liked (alright to a lot) as well...
oh yes, story about "on the way to the Metropolitan": it was St. Patty's day and the musuem is at the edge of Central Park along 5th Ave., so we took the subway up, and the stations run along a few blocks away so we walk over and then, doh! we can't get across the street to the museum 'cuz there's a fucking parade going along 5th...ayee! and a massive crowd of ppl (obviously...) so we eventually walked back over to the subway took it down to around the southern end of the park, took another line going west to get under 5th and on the park's side of the street...this might've been for the better actually 'cuz it gave us a chance to walk through Central Park which was pretty rad...we walked through the park up to where the museum was to avoid crawling through the huge crowd on 5th...it was a pretty swell time, yo...
