last night after class i chilled wif Jacques some...Amber's out of town so he's actually able to like not be doing her and stuff...then Justin all wanted me to come over and watch some movies he rented and spend the night so i did...there was also some chick that's some friend of his from his classes...they were watching Flesh and Blood when i got there (which i've seen) then came Wizards...this is prob'ly the most god-awful movie i've ever had to witness in my life...(i might be exaggerating some, but only barely, if i am at all...) it's all animated (very much in the style of Heavy Metal (i.e. horribly so...)) and it's uber-hippy...i think it's from the 60s although it might be from the 70s...it's all like all weapons and all technology is bad...movies especially...it's all about a post-apocalyptic world thousands of years in the future where ppl either evolved back into their original forms (elves and fairies...) or into horrible mutant monsters...ugh...and it ties the bad wizard all in w/ the Nazis...it's all completely painfully non-subtle "satire"/symbolism/crap...i guess...but it's just god awful...avoid it at all costs...it just hurts...i was able to fall asleep towards the end 'cuz i was dead tired...i was even tired by the time i showed up there...then it was over, she left, and i went to sleep on his futon...i was a few minutes late for class 'cuz i didn't wake up the first time he attempted waking and didn't wake up 'til 10 min before class...(his idea of waking me up is yelling at me from the other room...) then i went to class and then i went over to The Apartment and woke David up...

our flight reservations were made today...we're leaving like 6:30 am on wed. March 14 and arriving in NYC at like 12:30 and we're leaving at like 6:30 pm on sun. March 18 and getting back in Memphis at like 11 or so...woohoo! we looked at several hostiles online...we'll prob'ly decide on one soon...most stuff seems to be around $25 per person a night or so...or a few dollars more...but we shall soon see...we'll also need to get the tickets for the Knitting Factory shows...but this trip is going to rule...(or it had better, at least...)

something else kind've cool: i went w/ David to where he works at FedEx so he could fill out the form to request time off (he couldn't wait 'til tomorrow...) and while there he gave me the little "tour" of the various computer rooms he has access to...it was pretty cool going into them big rooms filled w/ many many big machines that're all like restricted and stuff...rad-o...or something...then i wasted some time watching David play Grand Theft Auto 2 before i went back home, as i have some spanish hw to do...that be all...

I believe Wizards is from the late seventies . . . I still think it messed me up as a child (it's one of my earliest movie-going memories--my father took my little brother and I to see it in the theaters when I was barely old enough to walk).
