did the whole "guru" thing at work today...i'm finding it even more annoying than usual...i think i'd rather just take calls...i get half the damned reading done (if that)...maybe i just wasn't in the mood today anyway but the whole thing was just kind of stressing me out...anyway, i'm home now...the end...

at work "on the job training"...a new hire takes calls while sitting with a "guru" for not-quite-a-week before they're let on the floor alone...

I got the package last week, thank you so much.

The CD looks and smells and sounds great. "Homage" has changed sooo much from the recording of it that I've been hearing for a few years now. Luckily I like its latest incarnation. Maybe not as much as the first time you played it, but it's a sweet jam.

The photo on the back -- that's what happened to your old place, the one above the gorcery store? Goddamn.

it's fun to play in the dark while you're lying in bed, and also in the car. my favorite (R. knows this already) is "phantom limb." god i love that song.

oh, and i also <3 "the yellow light." and all of the record, really.

i just checked the website for the lyrics to "phantom limb" and didn't find them (ahem, Robert!), but that made me check the lyrics to "the yellow light" and like the other day when i read cass mccomb's lyrics to "subtraction," seeing the lyrics made me like the song even more.

um, yeah.

actually i don't think i even have the lyrics to "Phantom Limb"...though if i listened to it i could possibly figure them out from having heard/played the song so much...i do plan on updating the website sometime soon...(i tried once but had some problems with the program i was using...) actually i'll probably redo it...might not put any lyrics up right away though...

and as for "The Yellow Light", golly...i'd never have thought any lyrics i'd written could make anyone like a song more...well, gee, thank you...

i like the last line a whole lot.

do you use a blank/raw html type thing, like text editor, or a wysiwyg html editor/dreamweaver-type application? just curious.

i still haven't gotten around to learning flash, but i doubt that matters...

well, thank you...

i was using frontpage and it had been messing up which is one of the main reasons i stopped working on the page...though i just used it briefly this evening and it didn't crash or nothing...a couple months ago i tried using the mozilla editor and it tried to be all fancy and "correct" things that i'd formatted differently (refusing to read ".htm"s instead of ".html"s for starters...) from what it felt was proper...anyway, maybe frontpage will start working again and that'll be just dandy...

you're welcome! glad you like it...well, i'm glad we didn't completely ruin "Homage" for you...that song was especially finished up in a hurry and there's a little weirdness in the sounds, but i still like the way it sounds...(the biggest thing that bugs me is my guitar...the notes i play on the lower strings don't come through...just the ringing of the higher strings...oh well...)
