"whenever you say 'weakness'"
Jan. 16th, 2006 09:39 pmso last night i went over to Jacques and Amber's again...we made a trip to bookstar in search of crossword puzzles, while there i picked up a few things for myself: Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov and Bartlett's Roget's Thesaurus (i'd been wanting a good thesaurus to make up for my terrible vocabulary for a little while and this one's pretty badass, and giganormous...it's set up differently than any i'd ever seen...like by category and the index is about half the size of the book...i guess it's too dull a thing to go into any more detail over...but it's pretty sweel, that's my point...) then we went and ate at the bellmont...and our waitress was this girl that i had as a hostess at el mezcal a couple weeks ago and i'd had a crush on...that's all...i had a crush on her again...oh, and the crossword puzzle book we got (a huge collection of 200 new york times sunday editions) was a fucking horrible monster...a couple of hours we still weren't able to finish one...we'll conquer it one day...but jesus...a fucking bitch...anyway, worked today, uh...it sucked...very turd-like against my flawed expectations...then The Family Ghost got together to work on that Silkworm cover some more...we've pretty much gotten it down to the point we're ready to record...it's just the recording equipment isn't anywhere near set up after some apartment rearranging...still not exactly sure where to put it anymore...i'll figure something out...also, while we were waiting for Josh to arrive we stumbled upon this new thing and it sounded fuckin' cool and we were recording it on cassette when Josh showed up and he picked up a bass and wrote a part in the middle of it all...that was neat...okay, the end...

Date: 2006-01-17 10:16 pm (UTC)Okay, I worked on it just a tiny little more without you. You won't believe the stupid crap that I filled in. Remember the clue "S.A. Capital?" Well, the answer is "edible bean." As in lima, as in Lima, as in the capital of Peru, a country in South America! How stupid is that?!?!?! Also, remember the clue "1988 Super Bowl Team?" We looked up the teams and found out they were the Denver Broncos and someone else, right? But neither of the teams who played in the Super Bowl in 1988 would fit in the blanks? Well, the answer is "small horses." Small fucking horses is the answer to that clue!!!! I hate this puzzle! But I can't wait for you to come over again so that we can work on it some more. We're a little over half finished with it now....and only 199 more to go!
