friday night i went over to Jacques and Amber's and i think we might have dided stuff but i don't remember...made it through all of that Legend of Zelda tv show [shudder]...yikes...went to bed super-duper late...then yesterday it was the same story and we went to burke's bookstore and i got some books...most were used: Lolita: a Screenplay by Vladimir Nabokov, Portnoy's Complaint by Philip Roth, The Western Lands by William S. Burroughs, The Making of 2001: a Space Odyssey edited by Martin Scorsese, and Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami (didn't even know it was out in paperback, but as i was checking out there it was on some new books display...so i couldn't help but get it...) later we went to barnhill's buffet and that was a terrifying experience...to top off all the bad things about it (which was most everything): they didn't even have okra! BULL-SHIT! later Justin and Mary Beth came over and we were watchin' some Mind Freak...if you've never seen this show, it's this dude who's the most intense, EXTREME magician ever!!! there's so much that's wonderful about it that i couldn't even begin to do justice in describing it here...it is a laugh riot though...also the past two night's i've broken in my electric blanket...so that's kinda awesome...

The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle was the first i'd read...i've probably read around half of his stuff that's in print over here...i guess; i've read 5 of his books anyway...
