The Family Ghost show #17 and more!

ateolfso we played a show friday night...opening was Ursa...they had 3 songs that were decent...the first song was one of them...then after that they delved into mind-blowing godawful shit...i suspect all of them are music majors and or work at guitar stores...or at least were one of the two and some point...they had a few santana-inspired songs...one "reggae" song that had (count 'em) 3 guitar solos! and all the lines went like "some people [action some people apparently do]" and one of 'em went "some people get high! ... oh my" and when he said "high" he raised his voice in an extremely silly manner...that was the most embarassing part...then there were a lot of other obvious by-the-numbers "genre" songs...anyway...after that was The Accessory...and then The Family Ghost...out set:

uh..."The Yellow Light" was funny...but it's over quickly...Jacques's guitar or something stopped making sound towards the end of "Placeholder"...at least that's the last song i guess and one where we're making a bunch of noise at the end...hopefully it was just a temporary thing or something...one of the coolest things ever happened after the show while we were loading gear up...Josh and i were putting amps in his vehicle and this dude with a moustache and a funny accent came up to us and ask "what do you call that? what do you call what you were playing in there?" and Josh said "rock and roll, man!" "well, next time you do that tune up first!" so i replied "that was in tune!" at which point his voice got REAL angry "listen here! i've been playing music for 51 fucking years and if that was fucking in tune i'll walk back to australia right now!" and he started to leave so i said "well you'd better get a head start, you might wanna start jogging" then he turned around several yards down the sidewalk and yelled something angrily i don't remember what probably "that fucking sucked!" (he said did say something like that at some point, possibly earlier though) so i yelled back at him "good day, mate!" it was pretty awesome...then after we brought get back here i went with Amber to ihop for some pumpkin pancakes!!!
then yesterday i slept super-late...'cuz i went to bed super-late...i started mix tape making...then i went with Jacques and Amber to the mall...i got some junk at the videogame store...they had Six Feet Under: the Complete Third Season used, which i had already gotten used but it was missing the outside box so i got it again with the intention of selling my old one...so i could have the box...i also got on dvd:

(the last two were 2 for $10) and i got some games...for the PS2:

and for the GameCube: Sonic Gems Collection
then we ate ethiopian and it was awesome as usual...then back to my place and i picked up my old Six Feet Under and to Spin Street to sell it...where i got in "return": ...on cd:

oh wait...at the mall Amber was in some lame soap and cream store but the girl she was talking to was like the hottest girl ever (i only saw her from outside 'cuz us dudes didn't go in that chick store) but Amber said they "hit it off" so maybe at some point in the near future she'll fall in love with me...it's possible...uh...back at their place we watched some stuff...that's about all...
